Youth
Good Friday, March 29th, the youth traveled to Shady Maple for breakfast. It was a fun time of fellowship with current and former youth group members...not to mention the good food!!
Easter Sunday, March 31st: Easter breakfast was again served by our Youth. We served 91 people. Many thanks to the leaders and parents for their donations and help in the kitchen! It was much appreciated.
April 26-27 Grace Youth participated in 30 Hours of Compassion. They are raising money to sponsor our own Compassion child. We have picked him. His name is Didier and he is from Togo, a west African country. He is 9 yrs old and lives with his mother and father. He was on the waiting list for 441 days. His picture is below. We want to raise at least $500 to cover a full year’s sponsorship ($38/month) but also include birthday and Christmas gifts. Please see one of the youth or leaders if you wish to donate towards this project!
The youth group will continue a series called "Never Give Up."
On May 8th we’ll begin a new series called “Live For This Moment”. This three-week series will help students discover the importance of seizing every moment to live out their faith for Christ in real and tangible ways that other people can see. The Bible is full of references to God's love for us and for others, yet sometimes we fail to love others. It can become too easy to ignore the homeless person on the street asking for spare change or the elderly woman at the store who could use some help carrying her groceries.
